Today, in my previous solar flare post, I reported on the 2 eruptions of the last few days, and then I updated the post in the afternoon, because another "baby" X eruption arrived.
Before we could say goodbye to sunspot AR 3664 for weeks, it produced one last very strong X8.79 solar flare at 16:50 UTC. This is the largest eruption so far in this 25 solar cycle.
