SUN – MAGNETIC CYCLE – +/- POLES – INTENSE SPACE WEATHER – WHY IT MATTERS TO US – EXPLANATION
“Changes during magnetic cycles, due to space weather, have an impact not only on our entire Solar System but also on other planetary systems!”
— Jose-Dias Do Nascimento, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA)
It is a fact that today, the events of the SUN which define our lives are triggered by nothing other than the magnetic pole reversal, which usually occurs every 11 years at its own pace.
During this time, the positive and negative poles not only move within the Star’s magnetic field — they completely swap places!
This phenomenon is the result of a longer process, and does not happen from one moment to the next.
The finale of the cycle, the preceding years and months, represent the active phase of our Sun!
These magnetic processes mainly affect the outer layers of the Sun, based on its rotational speed and the well-known dynamo effect.
In past decades, science expected the Star to strictly follow its own rhythm, so events were predicted accordingly.
However, according to careful observers, the current phase of the cycle is noticeably longer than usual, and this doesn’t only generate anticipated episodes on Earth.
According to my own research, the magnetic reconfiguration of the previous solar cycle number 24 occurred in 2013 (images and commentary can be found in the comment section). At that time, the negative pole shifted south, while the positive pole moved north.
Based on publicly accessible publications, the current cycle finale (cycle 25) appears to have occurred earlier than expected, in 2024, with the magnetic pole flip taking place around the time of the major “May” solar storms.
However, I found a recent study in which the positions of the Sun’s magnetic poles were still defined as in December 2013.
That’s when I began investigating further, as it is extremely important to clarify this matter.
Although I am not the giving-up type, I haven’t found any concrete documentation to prove the current pole reversal —
only similar statements such as “presumably,” “expected,” “likely.”
If no actual “flip” has occurred between December 2013 and June 2025, it is understandable why a new coronal hole opens almost every week, solar activity increases, and there is no significant decrease in sunspot formation!
This means we should not expect “calm” just yet(!) —
any true easing of activity will only begin to take place gradually, after the actual magnetic shift has completed.

“When visualizing the Sun’s magnetic fields, two different colors are typically used to distinguish polarities:
Red usually represents one magnetic polarity (e.g., the positive or “northern” pole)
Blue or blue-green typically indicates the opposite polarity (e.g., the negative or “southern” pole)
This color coding helps to visually differentiate the direction and structure of the magnetic field on the Sun’s surface, especially around sunspots and coronal loops.”**
Q: But it has never worn me as much as it does now.
A: because the state of the magnetosphere is rapidly deteriorating. What was previously undetected is now generating auroras stretching all the way south...so the energy it has been absorbing so far can seep in.

It became an angel wing, watch out...fly! 🪽
The frequency of the Earth is 7.83 Hz, this is ten times higher!
