Mercury stations direct today, ending its 3-week retrograde, however the planet that rules communication, travel & technology remains in the shadow phase until February 24th. Although we are not quite out of Mercury’s influence yet, life will start to feel much calmer and more manageable from today, particularly considering we are now in a period where all planets are direct.
For many of us life has felt turbulent in recent weeks and we may have experienced immense turmoil, disappointment and intense emotional pain. However, we have also learned a variety of essential lessons, healed aspects of our past and had a major shift in our consciousness.
We will now have entirely new perspectives on the most important areas of our lives and we will no longer be willing to settle and accept less than we know we deserve.
Mercury is renowned for muddling up our minds and creating chaos and confusion, and, as it was partly retrograding with Venus, much of this puzzling was focused on who and what we value most. During this time we have become aware of some harsh truths and shocking revelations and many things that were previously hidden have now been illuminated.
There may have been miscommunication, misunderstandings and disagreements that have triggered many painful wounds, particularly ones that were buried deep and we didn’t know existed. Much of this could have caused us to feel abandoned, rejected, inadequate or even worthless.
While Venus was recently retrograde we will have either consciously or subconsciously carried out inner work, that will have helped us come to the conclusion that it has all just been a mirror for how we have been abandoning and rejecting ourselves.
Fortunately, Venus focuses on love, relationship, values & intimacy and has been on hand to help us review our self-worth and self-value and allow us to take a much closer look at why connections with certain people cause us to feel so many conflicting and painful emotions.
We will likely have had periods of quite intense introspection where we revisted the past, possibly through the dreamworld, and an array of distant memories and visions will have resurfaced to be cleared. We will have gained valuable clarity as to why we have been allowing certain behaviours and patterns to continue, especially ones that have harmed our self-esteem and ultimately blocked our growth.
Mercury confronts us with past events so that we review, reevaluate, cleanse, declutter and tie up all loose ends so we are able to move forward renewed and recharged, without the the urge to keep revisiting the past. This retrograde is almost like a reset of our energy, where everything is shaken up and placed in front of us so that we have no other option but to deal with it, heal from it and then peacefully move onward.
Now that Mercury is out of its main retrograde period we will be feeling far less distracted, irritable and unsettled and we will feel ready to clear up misconceptions and miscommunications that have taken place. We will also have a greater understanding of which connections are important in our lives and will know exactly what to do to cultivate them, and recognise the time has come to cut unhealthy ones loose.
Mercury and Venus have given us the strength, awareness and conviction so that we are able to finally let go of our attachment to trauma bonds and relationships that sabotage our peace and personal growth.
With all planets in forward motion we will have clear flowing energy and this will help us restructure and rebuild our lives.
We have been through quite a transition over these past couple of months, so it is vital to take periods out for rest and reflection to ensure that the decisions we make are for our highest good.
We are integrating a new programme and shifting away from our old reality, so over the next 24-48 hours we may feel exhausted and be needing to sleep more than normal while our energetic body adjusts to this higher frequency and we align with our soul’s true purpose here on Earth.
Within the next few days we will begin to notice the rejuvenation and realignment of our mind, body and soul and we will be feeling more focused, motivated, energised, inspired creative and ambitious than ever before. This is the optimum time to really take the reins of our life and steer it toward manifesting our goals, dreams and visions so that everything we have been working so hard towards materialises effortlessly and finally becomes the reality we have long been dreaming of.
