The Meditation an usefull thing

Every people can meditate. 
The main point is - the peoples simply over-mystify the meditation.
The meditation means - calming yourself and when your mind is free of scattered thoughts, relaxed, and inwardly focused - You become an observer in the moment of NOW. 

Meditation is the method of getting into the center of consciousness. 

And this point, where a lot of people give up, because not easy clear the mind. The thoughts come and go and you probably not see nothing, you not reached the everything i know state - enlightment, your daily problem not solved, not win the lottery, and God still not welcome you after the first, the second or even the third meditation day. 
Did i something wrong? Why i can't meditate? Why this not happened or that happened yet? etc.

You should let go every expectation.

The meditation is not a horserace, we are different and have a lot of meditation technique - you should find the best for you and need a lot of practice. Which music relax you the most, or you prefer the sound of the nature, daytime meditation or night time, cross-legged sitting or just simply sitting on a chair or on the ground, with or without incense, candle light etc.? This is totally up to you - not thinking - just do it :) 

The main thing is that you feel yourself comfortable and safe!

Decide how long want to meditate - if it just 5-10 minutes not a problem, just try to do regularly or when you mood and inside inspiration guide you. 

I like sitting in my garden and listening the bird songs or i focus on my breath at night before my sleeping - this is a meditation too, or sitting near a lake or sea and listen the sound of the water - this is a kind of meditation too. Painting or do your favourite hobby, running or just walking also kind of meditation, because then you are in the NOW. 

When you often meditate and reach the moment of NOW, you can get a solution of your problems, you can heal yourself emotionally and physically, realize your old patterns and bad habits. You find your inner fire, what keeps you on your life journey. You become more balanced, loving, happy, you less worry and anxiety in your daily life. You learn accept yourself and others. You become more optimistic, creative, and realize you create and control your reality.

The meditation also improve your immune system, lessen heart and brain problems, reduces high blood pressure etc.

Oh and one more thing, don't worry if you fall into sleep while you meditate - a baby dozen time falls too before learn to walk.
